Are you a looking for a rewarding role to help support with SEN/Special Educational Needs pupils in their education?

Teach Agency have an exciting 1 year Teaching Assistant role to start in September 2024!

The role will be based in a well respected primary school in Biggleswade, Bedfordshire and you will have the support of a fantastic team.

You will be working 1:1 with a child who has additional needs so an understanding/experience of SEND is essential.

To be successful as 1:1 Teaching  Assistant you must:

  • Be a passionate and flexible practitioner.
  • Be experienced in working with supporting students with ASD, ADHD and Challenging behaviour. 
  • Ideally be  experienced as Level 2 or 3 TA with SEN experience.
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be able to communicate effectively within a team and external parties
  • All applicants must be available to work Monday to Friday from 08:15 - 16:00
  • Be entitled to work in the U.K.
  • Have an Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service or be willing to acquire one.

The role of a Teaching Assistant will be working Monday-Friday term time only supporting pupils from 8:45-15:15 with 30 minutes for lunch. This opportunity is to begin ASAP and will initially be on an ongoing basis with the possibility of becoming permanent at a later date. 

The successful Teaching Assistant will

  • Be required to support children particularly tailoring support around closing gaps in learning. 
  • Predominately provide support in Maths and English but will also take part on activities that promote wellbeing of children.

The role of a Teaching Assistant can be extremely varied depending on the nature of the requirement. You should therefore be adaptable & flexible in your approach.

The role of a Teaching Assistant could do any of the following:

  • Provide 1-1 support to a student with additional needs.
  • Provide support to a small group of students.
  • Work alongside the main class teacher to provide support to the whole class as needed.
  • Work in an SEN department to support several students.

Requirements:

  • Hold TA qualification or have experience working with young people.

Teach Agency are currently seeking to appoint a a passionate Modern Foreign Languages Teacher for an enriching journey at our client’s forward thinking secondary school in Cambridgeshire. 

The successful candidate must have an infectious passion for teaching Languages be it French, German or Spanish subjects and must be available in September 2024 to join the School on a long term ongoing basis..

As a MFL Teacher you will need:

  • A dedication to creating the best conditions and environment for learning and developing skills.
  • A desire to bring out the best in others and ensure they have the motivation to work towards achieving their potential.
  • The ability to hold a pupil's interest and encourage them to be excited about learning and their future prospects.
  • The ability to work well with others and autonomously..
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.                                                         
  • Patience and the ability to remain calm in sometimes stressful situations.
  • Excellent verbal communication and organisational skills.. 

Requirements

  • Degree qualification with QTS.
  • Previous UK teaching experience of teaching Languages subject.
  • Excellent classroom management skills.
  • Enhanced DBS Check which bis registered on the Update Service or be willing to acquire one.
  • Up to date Safeguarding training  issued within the last year is desirable.
