Are you an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) looking for flexible work in Peterborough? We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic HLTAs to work on a supply basis at an SEN school.

About the Role:

As an HLTA, you will play a crucial role in supporting teaching and learning, covering classes when required, and assisting with lesson planning and delivery. You will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide a high-quality learning experience for students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of the teacher.

• Support students’ learning and development, ensuring engagement and progress.

• Work with small groups or individuals to provide targeted interventions.

• Assist in planning and delivering engaging learning activities.

• Manage classroom behavior effectively, creating a positive learning environment.

• Provide feedback on pupil progress to teachers and senior staff.

Requirements:

• HLTA qualification or equivalent experience.

• Previous experience working as a HLTA or a Teaching Assistant with additional responsibilities.

• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage students.

• A passion for education and supporting young people’s learning.

• Flexibility and adaptability to work in different schools.

• A valid DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
