Are you a dedicated and creative Reception Teacher looking for a new opportunity?

Our client’s welcoming and forward-thinking Cambridgeshire primary school are seeking a vibrant reception teacher to join their team for a maternity cover contract. This role will commence in  May 2025 and will be for a period of 12 months.

This role involves designing and delivering engaging learning experiences for our youngest students, ensuring a supportive and stimulating classroom environment. The successful candidate will work closely with parents, colleagues, and external education partners to foster the development of foundational skills in literacy, numeracy, and social interaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a dynamic curriculum for Reception students in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.

• Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that supports the social, emotional, and academic growth of each child.

• Assess and track student progress, adapting teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs.

• Engage with parents and carers through regular communication and involvement in school activities.

• Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to school-wide initiatives and professional development programmes.

• Ensure adherence to all health and safety protocols as well as safeguarding policies.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialism or interest in early years education.

• Demonstrable experience working in a reception or early years setting.

• A strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum and early childhood development.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work effectively within a diverse team and engage with parents and the wider community.
