Teach Agency are seeking a dedicated SEN Supply Teaching Assistant to join our client’s welcoming Primary School in Peterborough on a fixed-term basis, which will be the whole of the summer term.
About the Role:
As a Supply Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils with a range of SEN, including autism, ADHD, ensuring they access a positive and tailored learning experience. Working alongside class teachers and the SENCO, you will help create a nurturing environment that promotes the academic, social, and emotional development of all learners.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with SEN.
• Assist in the preparation and delivery of differentiated learning materials.
• Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Support pupils in managing behaviour and fostering independence.
• Liaise effectively with teachers, parents, and external professionals.
What We’re Looking For:
• Previous experience working with children with SEN is essential.
• A calm, patient, and empathetic approach.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility to adapt to different classroom settings and student needs.
• Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant Certificate) are desirable but not essential.
