At Teach Agency we are looking for a dynamic and driven Teaching Assistant to support pupils at our client’s all through school based in Biggleswade. 

Our client's school celebrates every child and promotes an inclusive learning environment which they are highly proud of.

The role of a Teaching Assistant will be working Monday-Friday term time only supporting pupils from 8:45-15:15 with 30 minutes for lunch. This opportunity is to begin ASAP and will initially be on an ongoing basis with the possibility of becoming permanent at a later date. 

The successful Teaching Assistant will

  • Be required to support children particularly tailoring support around closing gaps in learning. 
  • Predominately provide support in Maths and English but will also take part on activities that promote wellbeing of children.
  • To support the classroom teacher.
  • To manage appropriate learning environments and resources.
  • To assess the needs of pupils and support those needs appropriately. 
  • To provide feedback to the class teacher on the progress and achievement of pupils.
  • To provide supervision at unstructured times.

Requirements

  • Ideally a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification.
  • Previous experience working in a primary school in a similar role.
  • A hard working and dedicated attitude.

These roles offer flexibility to candidates to work as little or as much as they prefer so it fits around their other commitments.

The role of a Teaching Assistant can be extremely varied depending on the nature of the requirement. You should therefore be adaptable & flexible in your approach.

The role of a Teaching Assistant could do any of the following:

  • Provide 1-1 support to a student with additional needs.
  • Provide support to a small group of students.
  • Work alongside the main class teacher to provide support to the whole class as needed.
  • Work in an SEN department to support several students.

As a Teaching Assistant with us, you can expect to gain a huge amount of experience in different aspects of the education sector. You will have the opportunity to broaden your experience in both Primary & Secondary Schools across the Cambridgeshire area.

Requirements:

  • Hold TA qualification or have experience working with young people.
  • Experience working with SEND students is desirable.

Are you a qualified Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)? Or maybe you an  an Early Career Teacher (ECT) looking to gain regular work in a local primary school?

We are currently seeking to appoint an excellent Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our  client’s welcoming and supportive Primary School  based in Bedfordshire. This role will commence ASAP on an ongoing contract basis with the possibility of being made permanent.

We are looking for an outstanding practitioner who can work alongside the School’s dedicated team of staff. The successful candidate should demonstrate enthusiasm and excitement. 

Requirements

  • Ideally a relevant HLTA qualification or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Previous experience working in a primary school in a similar role
  • A hard working and dedicated attitude
  • Would also suit an ECT keen to gain regular work for the short term.

All teachers and support staff adopt a nurturing approach to the challenges students present on a daily basis and a strong ‘team player’ attitude is essential as well as a sense of humour.
